Last night the Fairweather team hosted our Summer Soiree at Hotel Americano, a trendy boutique hotel that recently opened in Chelsea. The soiree doubled as a celebration of the launch of the Summer 2015 edition of Fairweather and a fundraiser for charity: water, a nonprofit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations.
Guests enjoyed drinks and hors d’oeuvres on the outdoor patio of Hotel Americano, while getting to watch the beautiful Manhattan sunset. Fairweather readers and friends had the chance to catch up with old friends and make new connections.
Everyone also enjoyed taking pictures in the photo booth! You can check out the photos here.
Our silent auction featured a great assortment of items to bid on. Auction items included dinner at high-end steakhouse, American Cut, courtesy of LDV Hospitality; two pillows of the winner’s choice from Coco-Mat; a stay at luxury hotel, Topping Rose House, in Bridgehampton; a bottle of perfume made from all-natural fragrances courtesy of Lurk; a silk flower-crown making workshop for two with the ladies of Something May; a catered breakfast at the office for ten from Financier Patisserie; and a one-year Fairweather Access membership.
As the clock struck ten, guests began bidding their farewells, putting their last bids in for the auction and taking their final photo booth pictures. On the way out guests received a wonderful gift bag. Inside guests were delighted to find organic sour gummy bears and jelly beans courtesy of Surf Sweets; a bundle of postcards with incredible photographs of New York City courtesy of FramingNY; a couple of coffee pods and a voucher for a complimentary coffee courtesy of Corso Coffee; a delicious pastry from Financier Patisserie; a North Fork Gift postcard; a discounted Glossy Box subscription, which delivers a monthly package of beauty products to each subscriber’s doorstep; and of course, a copy of the newest edition of Fairweather.
It was a really fun evening and we appreciate everyone coming out to celebrate and support our fundraising efforts for charity: water.
